North Sacramento Urgent Care: Prepare for Fun Run with Sports Physical
Halloween is bound to be a real treat with the Hope for Hearing Halloween Run happening this October 29, 2016 at Sacramento’s William Land Park. Perfect for the whole family, you can dress up in your spookiest Halloween costumes to double the fun and even have a chance to win an award for best costume. There’s also trick or treating for all children under 13 years old. Best of all, all proceeds will be given to Children’s Choice for Hearing and Talking (CCHAT) and Hope for Healthy Families Counseling Center.
Whether you choose to run the 1K, 5K, or 10K race, remember to go in for a sports physical at a North Sacramento walk in clinic beforehand. A race is a physically demanding activity, and you run the risk of pain or injury if you’re not adequately prepared. Read more from this blog:

Urgent Care Center Offers Tips for Those Going on Local Walking Tours
History offers much to learn, if people are willing to delve into it. Unfortunately, history is not always regarded as a cool subject. Often, the very mention of the word conjures images of musty books and droning professors.
These days, however, participatory experiences make the learning of history more engaging and entertaining. Consider walking tours, such as Underground After Hours, which is offered by the Sacramento History Museum.
As the name suggests, the activity leads participants on an evening walking tour to envision what a night out on the town was like during the Gold Rush. Unlike other tours, Underground After Hours tackles topics that most other museum exhibits would consider taboo, such as murder, mischief, and yes, even madams. Consequently, you visit gambling halls, saloons, and houses of ill repute during the tour.

North Sacramento Urgent Care: Stay Safe at the Grapes & Grub Festival
The Grapes & Grub Festival, happening at the Old Sugar Mill at the end of June, is all set to be one of the community’s summer highlights. This annual winery event celebrates wine, food, and music, with exclusive and mouthwatering food truck menu pairings.
With so many fantastic things to do, you can easily spend a few hours or even a whole day at The Grapes & Grub Festival. However, if you are planning to attend this wine event, make sure to keep in mind a few health tips from North Sacramento urgent care.
Grab Some Grub
Wine usually contains 12-15% alcohol. Therefore, drinking it on an empty stomach can lead to adverse effects pretty quickly. Some of these include slurred speech, reduced inhibitions, and motor impairment. You can avoid intoxication by eating high-protein foods like peanuts and cheese before and while you are drinking. Doing this slows down the absorption of alcohol into your circulatory system.

Visit a North Sacramento Walk-In Clinic After a Day in a Cactus Show
Every year, the Sacramento Cactus & Succulent Society holds a Cactus & Succulent Show in order to promote better understanding and care of succulent plants through fun and educational activities. It has become a tradition that dates back to the organization’s original inception in October 1960, and has brought in Succulent lovers from across the country year in and year out. If you’re planning to attend the 56th iteration of the show, you should include a visit to a North Sacramento walk-in clinic in your plans. Why You Need Care After Handling Cacti and Succulents Cactuses are intriguing to look at, but the many needle-like protrusions from its surface are meant to discourage natural predators from even getting close. If you’re attending a show where many of these cacti are on display, it is possible to catch a prick or two.

North Sacramento Urgent Care: Enjoying a Fruitful Farmers’ Market Day
There’s nothing like a good serving of healthy, nutritious, certified organic fruits and vegetables on your dining table during a family meal. Fortunately, more and more avenues are opening up for you to have access to these produce. Farmers’ markets such as the Sacramento Farmers’ Market give a great opportunity for both shoppers and vendors alike to get the community a little more and a little better. It doesn’t hurt, either, that they have fantastic organic produce and creative wares to catch the attendees’ fancy. As fun and exciting (and clean) as these events can be, though, a North Sacramento urgent care still urges Farmers’ Market-goers to keep a close watch on their purchases. See, organic products may be insecticide- and pesticide-free, but this does not necessarily mean they are absolutely without risks.

Need Better Z's? Try Out These 7 Exercises
Sleep is more than a luxury. It is the natural process that allows your body to repair itself, recharge, and become rejuvenated for the next day. When you get adequate rest, you are making sure that all systems will be set on go when you wake up the next morning, including your heart and the intricate system of your blood vessels. Don't get enough sleep and you open the door to major health issues down the line, such as stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. Knowledgeable North Sacramento urgent care providers would recommend that you take yoga to not only give you better sleep, but also to improve your overall well-being.
